We were fortunate to host the CrappieUSA Kids Rodeo in our pond.  Even though the day was soggy from recent rains, cool from a cold front, and ominous with the threat of thunderstorms approaching, all had a fun time.  The kids caught enough crappie to keep their interest up and hopes alive of being the next one to catch a fish.  The CrappieUSA folks were on hand to register kids, weigh and record the catches and hand out prizes at the end.  With the event being called 20 minutes early due to rain, everybody scrambled to shelter for the announcement of winners.  In the end, every kid walked away with some sort of prize, and then ate hot dogs and chips served by Terra.
