This years Crappie USA Kids Rodeo was even more fun than last year, the weather was perfect and the kids caught fish out of the pond at a steady pace and the parents enjoyed it as much as the youngsters. A couple of the highlights were young Brock catching his first fish ever and the 9.8 lb. catfish that Devon caught for the 1st place big fish in his age group. My good buddy Mike Dawson just happened to be visiting for the weekend and very much to our appreciation cooked and served the hot dogs, and helped with the setup and cleanup. Of course Crappie USA was on sight to keep track of the fish and hand out prizes. A big round of applause to Crappie USA for getting the kids involved and helping to ensure the future of fishing.
