The page contains seasons and limits for Mark Twain Lake, the Reregulation Pool below the lake, and Missouri in general.  This is not all encompassing, and the State Wildlife Code should be referred to for more specific info.

All Black Bass, and all Walleye, less than 15 inches total length,

must be returned to the water unharmed immediately after being caught.

All fish species may be taken throughout the year by the use of pole and line, trotline, throwline, limb line, bank line, and jug line.

Fish species not defined as game fish (for example, carp and buffalo) may also be taken by gig, longbow, crossbow, and snagging.  Daily limit of fish taken by these methods is 20 in the aggregate.  (see Wildlife Code Rule 6.550 for seasonal restrictions)

Bullfrogs and Green Frogs may be taken from sunset, June 30 until midnight, October 31.

Live bait may be taken throughout the year by minnow trap, dip net, throw net, hook and line, or seine.

Clarence Cannon Reregulation Pool

(Specific to the reregulation pool below Mark Twain Lake)

Restricted Zone:  The Clarence Cannon Reregulation Pool within 400 feet below Clarence Cannon Dam is CLOSED TO ALL FISHING.

Fish may be taken only by pole and line in the Clarence Cannon Reregulation Pool from the powerline crossing upstream to the restricted zone 400 feet below Clarence Cannon Dam.  (No trot lines, bank lines, jug lines, etc.)
